About the tour

The pride of Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam, is a south eastern country filled with surprises and wonders. Just less than a century ago, it was embroiled in a war that set the country ablaze, but today, we’ll show just how amazing Vietnam has become. Starting with the Temple of Literature, or Quoc Tu Giam, which is dedicated to Confucius, then heading to One Pillar Pagoda which was built around 1000 years ago. We’ll visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum dedicated to the revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh to win the independence. Museum of Ethnology is where you can learn about the different ethnic groups and the culture & history related to them. And don’t miss out on Hanoi’s Water Puppet Show that has its roots in what used to be the source of entertainment for the farmers. We’ll also head to Halong Bay, where you will see for yourself the beauty of the Descending Dragon Bay and explore the grottos, or artificial caves, and try your hand in kayaking. There will be a cruise ride that circles the islets surrounding Halong Bay and learn how some islands are named after quite literally, the shape they take. You’ll get a view that cannot be compared elsewhere on the cruise before we fly to our next city, Danang. Once you’re in Danang, naturally it’s going to be Ba Na Hill you want to be at. Sitting at almost 1.5km high, Ba Na hill is such a gorgeous place to be and has a cool weather. Hop on the Funicular ride that’ll go around the hill to show you several places that you can visit here. The Old Debay Wine Cellar, for example, is quite an exquisite historical cellar constructed by French colonialists in the 1920s and the D’Amour flower garden is a literal paradise of beautiful flowers, fresh air, and just an overall heaven-like view. You can spot believers and fervent worshippers at the Linh Ung Pagoda and the Thich Ca Buddhist statue. The Fantasy Park is where the families are headed to hop on the rides and attractions inspired from the famous books written by Jules Verne. We’ll walk up to the highest point of the mountain for an even more incredible view of the region and visit the several buildings that are accessible here, such as the Golden Bridge. Then to Saigon for the city tour that focuses on the story of the hard work and gruesome details of the Vietnam War, proof of how the land won its independence. Shop at the Ben Thanh Market here for everything you want to bring home! Finally, we’ll cruise through the Mekong River and take in the view of surrounding houses and visit the local factories that make traditional sweets and snacks. The Vinh Trang Pagoda will be our final destination, a construction wonder of its time with prominent Southeast Asian features and a hint of French.
